The Creation: Designing the Taste of 2020
Skies of blue. Oceans of life. Palates of purpose. A new era dawns at dusk.
With 25 years of experience harmonizing, color, aroma and taste, our master blenders worked closely with Pantone to bring a sip of the moment to life. In their unique method of designing any tea, narrative, and storytelling guide ingredient selection. Understanding the mood drives the choice of highest-grade tea leaves and botanicals whose spirit’s capture and enforce the desired sentiment.
Marrying the atypical hue – not often found in culinary – with the mood of wellness and deep reflection, the result is an elegant and expansive herbal melange with a secret ingredient credited for the vibrant color.
The tea evokes a strong sense of wellness and self-care, like foods rich in anthocyanins, acting as a form of protection for good health. Enjoy the Color of the Year in a purposeful fashion by ingesting its mood.
The Primary Principles
Our core philosophy is that of blending. In the context of tea, we consider the three pillars of color, aroma, and taste and build perfect palate experiences from there. Understanding that first taste is with the eyes, a rich infusion brings the ritual of tea, outside of the teacup.
A Complementary Collaboration
In 2015 we collaborated with Pantone, the world authorities on color in design, to bring about an in-depth exploration of color: In the sphere of culinary, Palette for your Palate was born. Examining color’s impact on curating brand experiences brought about our first documentary, Color In Sight.
Five years later, at the dawn of a new decade, we bring the exploration of color even further.
